About Vighter

Vighter Medical Group LLC began as Viking Services in 2005. The founder started this business in a home office after retiring from the US Army. The founder had been working as an independent contractor doing medical consulting for Department of State contractors. It was a natural progression to begin a company around this business service. In 2007, the company was moved to Winona, MN and the company name was changed to Vighter Medical Group. The word Vighter is a combination word of Viking + Fighter + Healer.

In 2010, VMG moved out of its home office to its current corporate headquarters at 111 Riverfront and added its first full time employee. Since that time, VMG has added staff, resources, and a larger suite of offices at 111 Riverfront.

In 2010, VMG received HUBZone (historically underutilized business zone) certification from the Small Business Association. In May 2011, VMG was verified through audit and examination as a service disabled, veteran owned small business (SDVOSB).
