Our enterprise cloud security solution, Trust Lockdown™, is a kernel security agent that stops all ransomware and malware that tries to run as an executable or script.

Trust Lockdown™ stops all executables and scripts from loading, period. It intercepts the loading of all executables and scripts, and checks whether their fingerprints are authorized on your Trusted Apps list. Our cloud security solution also uses five unique cyber-metric fingerprints and the file’s size to positively identify any executable or script that tries to run. If they are TRUSTED they’re allowed to RUN. Everything else is blocked. It’s a simple yes/no decision.  The result: We block 100% of malware that tries to run as an executable or script. What is ransomware?

Ransomware is a type of malicious software, or malware, designed to deny access to a computer system or data until a ransom is paid. Ransomware typically spreads through phishing emails or by unknowingly visiting an infected website.

What is malware?

Malware, or malicious software, is any program or file that is harmful to a computer user. Types of malware can include computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses and spyware. These malicious programs can perform a variety of different functions such as stealing, encrypting or deleting sensitive data, altering or hijacking core computing functions and monitoring users' computer activity without their permission.

Why should I care?

Ransomware and malware can be devastating to an individual or an organization. Anyone with important data stored on their computer or network is at risk, including government or law enforcement agencies and healthcare systems or other critical infrastructure entities. Recovery can be a difficult process that may require the services of a reputable data recovery specialist, and some victims pay to recover their files. However, there is no guarantee that individuals will recover their files if they pay the ransom.

Who are your Competitors? And why is Trust Lockdown better?

Sophos Security – Their App Control technology comes from our previous company, Coretrace. We’ve built our technology from the ground up to address all the obstacles we’d identified in that 8 year old technology.

Bit9/Carbon Black – Their push deployment model is hard to use and add significant management overhead.

Cylance – This is a machine learning technology that can’t stop all zero-day attacks by malicious scripts.

McAfee – Their technology came from the SolidCore acquisition in 2009. Old and hard to configure.

Symantec – According to Gartner’s February 1, 2016 Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms “Symantec’s Completeness of Vision score is affected by the limited capabilities of its application control …”. Symantec has been a latecomer to the App Control protection market.
