Dr. Jeffrey Lee started his Army career in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg. He was later selected to attend the Special Forces Qualification Course and, upon completion, graduated as a Special Forces (Green Beret) medic. He was assigned to 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and served as a medical sergeant until he was accepted into the physician training program at the Uniformed Services University of Health Science (USUHS). After graduating with his MD degree he was assigned to various conventional and special operations units. Throughout his military career he gained invaluable leadership experience as a healthcare professional and served multiple tours overseas.
After retiring from the Army in 2005 he founded Vighter with the goal of providing critical mission services to government contractors operating in high threat conflict zones around the world. Initially he operated as a one-person physician consultant, but as requests for services grew he focused on growing the business. Today the company has hundreds of dedicated employees performing services all over the world.
Jeremy Calvert started his Army career in 4th Psychological Operations Group (Airborne) at Fort Bragg. He was also selected to attend and later graduated from the Special Forces Qualification Course as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant (Green Beret). He served on active duty in 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and in the Massachusetts Army National Guard with 20th SFG(A) while attending the University of Massachusetts to complete his undergraduate degree. Prior to joining Vighter in 2012, he served at the US Embassy in Peru as a Field Advisor for the Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs. After transitioning to the private sector he managed multi-million dollar service contracts for a prominent government contractor. He holds a MBA in Global Business Management, MA in Homeland Security and BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
Robert Garcia has 20+ years of healthcare management, healthcare administration, and government contracting experience. Robert started his nursing career in 1998 as a Licensed Vocational Nurse and subsequently became a Registered Nurse in 2002. Prior to joining Vighter in 2013, he served as a Flight Nurse in support of a Department of Homeland Security contract with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. When he was not flying around the globe, he also worked in a local San Antonio hospital system as a Registered Nurse to maintain proficiency with hospital-based lifesaving emergency department medical skills. He attended The Victoria College, St. Phillips College, and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Robert is a continuing proud member of Sigma Theta Tau International Society of Nursing.
