On July 4, 2021 a C-130 cargo aircraft...

Flown by the Philippine military crashed carrying 104 military personnel near the city of Jolo. Unfortunately 50 military personnel on board and 3 civilians on the ground died, while 46 occupants on board and 4 civilians on the ground were injured.

Vighter’s medics responded within minutes via helicopter and flew multiple sorties to provide casualty evacuation and in-route care for 28 of the most-critically injured patients.

Vighter supports the Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC) mission by providing highly trained medics to provide search and rescue services as well as lifesaving in-route care in the Philippines. On January 27, 2019 two bombs exploded at a church in the city of Jolo. The explosion killed 20 personnel and injured 102 others. Vighter’s personnel were activated and immediately flew to the site. They quickly stabilized and evacuated 9 critically injured patients.

All of the patients who were treated by the Vighter medics survived the incident due to the expert care they received in-route to the hospital.
