Vighter establishes NAEMT training center and gives back to the military

Vighter established its NAEMT Authorized Training Center and gave back to the military at the same time by providing Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) course scholarships to four medics assigned to the Minnesota Army National Guard. PHTLS is the world’s premier prehospital trauma education developed in cooperation with the American College of Surgeons to promote critical thinking in addressing multi-system trauma and provide the latest evidence-based treatment practices.

Mr. Rex Wiegers, Vighter’s Training Officer, served as the primary instructor for this inaugural course conducted 20 and 21 March 2017 in Winona, MN. PHTLS promotes critical thinking as the foundation for providing quality care and is based on a prehospital trauma care philosophy, stressing the treatment of the multi-system trauma patient as a unique entity with specific needs.

While Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) usually have a strong connection to the military, Vighter’s executive team is comprised of US Army veteran healthcare professionals so the organization is especially connected to military medicine.
