Job Summary

Vighter LLC is recruiting a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to perform services at Indian Health Service (IHS). A Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides clinical social work services to the patients of Albuquerque Indian Health Center.  Vighter is a Professional Services and staffing firm accredited by The Joint Commission with over 15 years of experience supporting Federal, State, and Local government clients around the world. Position Description

Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides clinical social work services to the patients of Albuquerque Indian Health Center.

Requirements

  • Monday to Friday (8 hours per day)
  • Not to exceed 40 hours per week
  • Not required to work federal holidays
  • Overtime not allowed
  • Flexible hours between 0800 to 1630
  • Coordinate appropriate referrals to community and other Government agencies for services.
  • Independently assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and their family members and formulate and implement a treatment plan, identifying the patient’s problems, strengths, weaknesses,
  • coping skills and assistance needed, in collaboration with the patient, family and interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Independently conduct psychosocial assessments and provide psychosocial treatment to a wide variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, educational and other diverse backgrounds.
  • Use medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities and treatment procedures. This includes acute, chronic and traumatic illnesses/injuries, common medications and their effects/side effects, and medical terminology.
  • Implement treatment modalities in working with individuals, families and groups who are experiencing a variety of psychiatric, medical and social problems to achieve treatment goals.
  • Independently provide counseling and/or psychotherapy services to individuals, groups, couples, and families. Must practice within the bounds of the license or certification.
  • Provide consultation services to other staff about the psychosocial needs of patients and the impact of psychosocial problems on health care and compliance with treatment.
  • Participate in professional peer review case conferences, research studies, or other organizations required at the MTF.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in case management, community outreach and familiar with community resources;
  • Knowledge in and familiarity with local, state, and county resources;
  • REQUIRED: Master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the School of Social Work is fully accredited.
  • REQUIRED: Must be licensed by a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level and is required to be licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or under the new license name - Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW).

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be able to pass a government background clearance (SF-85)
  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • Skilled in connecting to community resources and bridges to available benefits
  • The Contractor will be responsible for making sure Heart Association BLS as required.
  • Coordinates wraparound services for COVID-19 affected individuals by connecting them to community-based services and resources;
  • Performs community outreach to impacted or at-risk businesses and locations;
  • Follows cases until individuals graduate from quarantine;
  • Providing counseling to patients and families;
  • Serving as liaisons in coordinating with other health professionals to bring patient wellness;
  • Providing the social services needed to enable patients to maintain social distancing or self quarantine. Follows cases until individuals graduate from quarantine; and/or
  • Conducting daily monitoring of clients with COVID-19 during self-isolation and contacts during self- quarantine for temperature, signs/symptoms. The monitoring methodology will be instructed by the government official.
  • Provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment planning with focus on integrative treatment for mental health disorders.
  • Provides individual and group psychotherapy to new and established patients, for a full range of patients with diverse clinical needs.

  • Provides Evidence-Based Psychotherapies appropriate to patients' needs.
  • Provides evaluation and treatment through tele-health technologies, as clinically and administratively indicated.
  • Assists patients in crisis, in collaboration with other resources for patients in crisis, when indicated.
  • Assures all assigned high risk patients complete a collaborative Safety Plan documenting crisis prevention strategies, in keeping with facility policies and processes.
  • Complete all required documentations of clinical contacts in a timely fashion and follow all policies and procedures for the organization.
  • Computer skills in data management and Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are desirable.
  • Must be able to stand or sit for more than 8 hours per day
  • Must be willing to work overtime if necessary
  • Must be able to use an elevator or walk up and down stairs
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and carry up to 10 feet
  • Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders
  • Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear
  • Must be able to perform duties in an indoor or outdoor environment
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation
  • Must undergo urine drug testing
